Family

Parenting:  Let’s face it, parenting can be the toughest job on the face of the planet and if anything, it seems to be getting more and more complex as our world continues to move and change at such a rapid pace. Big questions continue to get even bigger as fast as our children seem to grow. Questions like, how do we prepare our children for the future while protecting them from the myriad of dangers that surround them? How do we care for not only their social, educational, and health-related interests while also providing a basis for their spiritual health and development as a whole person? In the past, faith was a central part of the family's home life, yet the reality for most of us today is that faith development happens primarily at church if anywhere. Nonetheless, we are discovering that to become the strong, healthy, joy-filled families God intended for us, actually begins with us, the parents establishing our homes as the primary place where faith is nurtured. Therefore, our commitment to you in all that we do as a church is to serve as your partner in rediscovering what it means to bring the basics of faith back into our homes where God takes the lead in preparing our children for the best life possible, bringing joy and an overwhelming sense of fulfillment back into our parenting that we have all been longing for. Deut 11:18-20

Sunday Morning Goals

  •  Every child will experience first hand how special and sacred they are to God in tangible ways.
  •  Every child will leave with a plan and a hope to enjoy the Bible with their parents at home during the week.
  •  Every child will look forward to coming back next Sunday to learn more about God’s love for them.

Family Night:  Family Night is all about celebration!!!  Your kiddos work hard every Sunday at church and at home during the week; memorizing bible verses, bringing their friends to church, and doing their family devotionals. All that hard work is tallied up and celebrated at Family Night.  These are also great opportunities for us as parents to learn together more about how to do a great “family devotion” for our kids at home each week.

Parent Chat:  Parents enjoy a 30 minute chat at the beginning of each semester during the Sunday morning service with Pastor Scott and his wife, Amy to discuss the upcoming semester for family devotions and how we can work together to make parenting the joy that God designed it to be.

Youth Ministry:  They grow from “children” to “youth” in a flash, don’t they?  We take youth ministry very seriously at Community Alliance Church because we know that these years will also fly by.  The pressure and challenges that our teens face day after day is greater than most of us can even begin to imagine as parents.  Our Youth Ministry is prepared to stand in the gap for you and with you to make a difference in these years where it counts the most.  Daily decisions are being made from the ages of 12–18 that will ultimately impact the rest of our children’s lives.  We are committed to asking the right questions at the right moments to give our teens the best chance possible to discover “life, and life to the fullest” as God intended.  John 10:10
